🐴 Icelandic Moss for Horses – Herbal Supplement for Respiratory System and Digestion
Single feed for horses
Iceland moss (Cetraria islandica) is a traditionally used forage herb, distinguished by its natural content of mucilage, bitter substances, polysaccharides, vitamin C, flavonoids, and minerals. This combination is valued in equine nutrition when a gentle, herbal supplement for respiratory or digestive support is desired.
Dried lichen can be a useful supplement to daily feeding, especially during periods of increased exertion or when changing feed. Due to its mucilage content, the plant is particularly suitable for horses with sensitive respiratory or digestive systems.
Icelandic moss is used in traditional animal feed both as an ingredient in herbal mixtures and on its own. It is prepared particularly gently as a cold infusion, which allows the natural components to dissolve optimally.
